Beneath The Crescent Moon
Raymond Lester Morone,
age 37, is arrested April 21st, 2018, on suspicion of three murders.
All three victims were single women in their late thirties. Raymond is being
held at the New Orleans Parish Prison. If convicted, he faces the state
execution chamber at the Louisiana State Penitentiary, known as “The Farm”.
Raymond’s arrest reveals more questions than answers. According to the police report, Raymond, doesn’t
exit. He has no verifiable information and his name doesn’t appear in any
records.
Justin Lancer, an
investigator for a local tabloid, is his only hope. Pushed by his boss at the New
Orleans Chronicle, Justin is forced to team up with the hard-nose detective,
Dominic DeAngelis. Justin’s investigation reveals new information that forces
Detective Dominic to reopen his file in search of a missing tattoo artist by
the name of Andre LeBlanc.
Justin’s investigation
sends him among the darker side of New Orleans. Justin wanders
through a maze of diversions. His search for truth and moral justice is further
complicated by re-appearing astrological symbols and the missing tattoo artist,
who may hold a critical piece of the missing puzzle.
As Justin struggles with
Detective Dominic, his boss, Rocco, at the New Orleans Chronicle and his
relationship with Kate Ehlers, his college sweetheart; Justin’s hope is renewed
by an unusual street preacher known as John the Baptist, a proclaimed “ragpicker”,
and the mind opening interview with a lady from Raymond Morone’s past.
The mystery takes you
through the historic city of New Orleans, blending together the French Quarter,
Jackson Square, Café Du Monde, Bourbon Street, The River Walk, St. Louis Cemetery,
Café Reconcile, and the Fulton Street area in search of the secrets that lay Beneath
The Crescent Moon.
